500g. Flake chives. Aromatic chives in flake form. The chives are grown in Germany and harvested in June or July when they are ripe. Then the chives are cut and air-dried at around 36 degrees to protect the ingredients.
Chives contain essential oils. They form the basis for the intense taste and smell. Chives contain a lot of vitamins A and C. The taste of chives is intensely spicy.
Chives are used in the kitchen for salads, meat dishes and sauces. Boiled potatoes get a special taste with chives swirled in butter. Scrambled eggs become a delicacy with chives. A herb quark with chives complements raw vegetables such as celery, peppers, carrots and radish as a dip. In folk medicine, a brew is also made from chives.
Only when you place your order are the chive flakes filled in food foil and vacuum-packed. When vacuuming, the air is removed from the packaging, then the bag is sealed. Freshness and aroma are retained longer.
