200g. Tellicherry pepper crushed TGSEB. TGSEB = Tellicherry Garbled Special Extra Bold - stands for particularly careful hand selection of the thickest and most beautiful pepper berries after drying.

This fine pepper rarity comes from the Periyar nature reserve in the Indian state of Kerala on the Malabar coast and owes its name to the port city of Tellicherry (Thalassery). The taste of the almost fully ripe pepper berries is particularly aromatic and a little hotter than ordinary black pepper. Of this quality, only small quantities of the best harvests are processed into Tellicherry pepper every year. The color is reddish brown rather than black, thanks to the longer ripening of the berries at the time of harvest. That is why it is often referred to as late harvest pepper.

Tellicherry pepper is more intense, warmer and nuttier in taste than ordinary black pepper. The smell reminds a little of tea or sandalwood. Always use the Tellicherry fresh and very sparingly. It goes well with all types of meat and can also be used as a universal pepper.

Made in India, bottled in Germany. Store dark, dry, cool and airtight. The product complies with the food law provisions of the Federal Republic of Germany and in particular the guidelines for spices and other seasoning agents.

Is filled from kiloware in food foil and shipped vacuum-packed. When vacuuming, the air is removed from the packaging, then the bag is sealed. Freshness and aroma are retained longer. Decoration is not included. Free shipping within Germany.
